We offer very competitive pay and benefits package with great growth potential.The ideal candidate will have the following skillsets:Motivated to learn, and work in a team environment.A good understanding of mechanical, electrical and pneumatic processes.The ability to troubleshoot and make the correct repairs.The ability to see an ongoing problem and develop a more permanent solution.Fabrication skills, such as cutting, welding, machining etc.The ability or capability to master and apply troubleshooting of automated equipment up to and including the PLC.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCommunicate with Maintenance Staff and Production Management to ensure efficient operation of the production process.Ability to work any shift and overtime as needed.Utilize the Computer Maintenance Management System for all PMs, repairs and part usage.Work with contractors and vendors, when needed, to facilitate repair of equipment, installation of new equipment and accurate repair parts.Perform preventive maintenance tasks and inspections, based on manufacturer’s specifications.Participate in skills update/upgrade training programs.Perform all work to meet local, state, and federal codes.Attending and participate in assigned training sessions related to GMPs, SOPs, HACCP and SQF; apply and demonstrate obtained knowledge and follow all procedures and policies related to food safety.Responsible for keeping work area safe and clean.Adhere to all safety guidelines for job performed.Perform related duties as assigned by management.QUALIFICATIONS 1-2 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environmentDegree or Certificate of Completion of an accredited industrial maintenance programAbility to diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic problems on high-speed industrial equipment used in the food processing industry.Ability to use various hand tools- powered and non-powered, precision measuring tools, forklift and other tools and equipment to perform industrial maintenance tasks.Ability to perform various maintenance tasks- carpentry, plumbing, welding and cutting and operate appropriate tools to perform such tasks.Ability to use Excel, Word and Outlook proficientlyAbility to read and understand technical drawings and equipment manualsAbility to communicate, write legibly, and speak in EnglishAbility to perform each essential function satisfactory.PHYSICAL DEMANDSOccasionally required to lift and pull up to 100 poundsOccasionally required to carry items up to 100 poundsRequired to work while standing for periods up to 2 hours.Regularly required to bend, reach, pull, stoop, kneel, climb and reachRequired to work in hot and cold environmentsPerform medium to heavy duty work tasksPERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENTSafety eyewear is requiredProtective clothing, hair net and gloves are required.Respirator, hard hat, welding helmet and other PPE may be required based on tasks being performed
